If you had one wish, what would you wish for? Would it be superpowers, money, good looks, or immortality? How about… golden retrievers?
You’ve probably seen a few Make-A-Wish Foundation videos, where kids with life-threatening illnesses get to forget their troubles for a day and instead step into the shoes of a superhero, a race car driver, or even Batman. It’s no wonder that these epic videos sometimes go viral online.
But some kids wish for much simpler things.
Meet Isaac
Isaac is a little boy from Singapore who has brain cancer. And Isaac really, really loves golden retrievers. When Make-A-Wish Foundation Singapore offered him one wish, all that he asked for was to pet some golden retrievers. It was an easy wish to fulfil. At a simple and intimate event, Isaac got to meet and spend the day with the lovable golden retriever Max and his owner, Leo Seo Wei.

But that fateful meeting led to something more.
As it turns out, Seo Wei is a member of the Golden Retriever Club – Singapore. Her meeting with Isaac stuck with her, and she decided to take his simple wish and turn it into something more.
For his 13th birthday, Seo Wei enlisted the help of the Golden Retriever Club to throw Isaac a huge party at the Singapore Botanic Gardens. The attendees? Isaac, and more than 100 golden retrievers.
The turnout was amazing, with never-ending queues of dogs just waiting to be hugged and loved by Isaac. It’s safe to say that this was probably the largest number of golden retrievers in Singapore Botanic Gardens at any one time, ever. And just look at all their adorable and silly faces!
